A longtime muse for an international milieu of designers, artists and creatives, Marrakech comes into its own on New Year’s Eve with celebrations unfolding in hotels and hangouts across the Red City. To bring in 2022, PRIOR has an exclusive and limited reservation for all seven rooms at L’Hôtel, designer Jasper Conran’s impeccably converted riad retreat whose design and ambiance channel the glamour of Morocco’s past.
The six-day stay includes a visit to one of the world’s great gardens, Jardin Majorelle, with its director; a guided shopping expedition to the workshops and ateliers of the Sidi Ghanem design district with a Marrakshi buyer; and tours of the Museum of Moroccan Arts, the El Bahia and El Badi palaces, the Saadian tombs and the Koutoubia Mosque with historical experts.
Additionally, PRIOR members can step behind the doors of the usually off-limits former home of Yves Saint Laurent, Villa Oasis, and celebrate New Year’s Eve at an intimate dinner party in the Agafay Desert. We can also arrange a culinary tour through the food stalls of the Jemaa el Fna souk, and meetings with Berber artisans making coveted handwoven Beni Rugs.
